About the Company

Grand River Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing healthcare at Grand River Hospital by funding essential equipment, innovative programs, and patient-focused services. With community support, the foundation drives high-quality, compassionate care close to home, fostering a healthier future for all.

For the Grand River Hospital Foundation magazine, Action, the design concept focused on creating an engaging, visually-driven experience that aligns with the Foundation’s mission to inspire community involvement in healthcare. The magazine's layout emphasizes clean lines, balanced white space, and a modern typographic style to reflect both professionalism and approachability. The color palette draws from the Foundation’s branding, using calming blues and greens to evoke trust and compassion, with occasional pops of vibrant color to highlight key stories and calls to action.

Photography was used thoughtfully to humanize the stories, featuring real patients, staff, and community members to create a sense of connection. Infographics and pull quotes were strategically placed to enhance readability and break up text-heavy sections, making complex healthcare topics more accessible to a broader audience. The magazine’s cohesive, inviting aesthetic is designed to build community trust, inspire support, and effectively communicate the Foundation’s impact on healthcare outcomes in the region.
